Not all patients require functional testing. The suitability of testing is discussed in your consultation and I recommended testing only if I believe it will be beneficial to your treatment.

Test kits are sent out via post, the patient is to collect the sample (stool, vaginal swab or hair) and post it directly to the laboratory. Test results are sent directly to me, a follow-up consultation is required to discuss findings.

Microbiome Sampling Kit (stool sample) - $470

This is a comprehensive test for microbiome composition and function. It identifies causes of digestive symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, and abdominal pain. Poor gut health can also contribute to fatigue, hormonal problems, headaches, immune issues and more.

This test helps to identify vaginal infections and dysbiosis, including bacterial vaginosis, vulvovaginal candiasis, and trichomoniasis.

Tests for: The vaginal microbiome profile tests for pH, opportunistic bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungal pathogens, and beneficial bacteria in the vagina. 

The vagina is home to a complex ecosystem of organisms that may include bacteria, viruses, parasites and yeasts. Some of these organisms are important in keeping us healthy as they act to discourage other potential pathogens from thriving. Disruptions in balance of any of these can lead to infections and/or uncomfortable symptoms including vaginal itching and burning, vaginal soreness and discomfort, Inflamed or swollen skin around your vagina and vulva, a change in the amount, colour or smell of vaginal discharge, pain or burning during urination, pain during sex and/or vaginal bleeding or spotting.  Every vaginal microbiome is different and factors such as age, hormonal disruptions and even antibiotic/probiotic use can contribute to changes. 

 

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (hair sample) - $220

Hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) is an analytical test that measures the mineral composition of the hair. Mineral concentrations in the hair can provide a reliable indicator of mineral stores in your whole body. HTMA tests for crucial minerals like magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, zinc and copper that are required for good health. It is also a useful indicator of toxic mineral exposure and can detect toxic metals such as mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and aluminium- all of which can create multiple health issues in the body. HTMA focuses on the ratios of the main minerals, the ratios show us trends in metabolism, thyroid health, adrenal health, hormonal balance, blood sugar balance, and cardiovascular health.

Hair 600 Biocompatibility Analysis (hair sample) - $299

Using hair samples, Bio-Compatibility testing identifies the influence (either positive or negative) that each of a wide range of foods and products has on the delivery and storage systems in each cell. In this way, we are then able to determine which foods and products should be avoided and which should be consumed/used. Once the incompatible items are removed, the cells are able to repair and function normally and the body can begin to heal itself naturally. The standard test covers a list of 600 items — including most food groups, bathroom, laundry, health foods, gluten-free and kitchen products.
